Method 1: Search the Payments Summary tab
Remember ‐ All electronic payments are listed and searchable in the Payments Summary tab
- Go to the Navigation Menu (3 bars) > Payments > click Summary sub tab
- Enter a date range of no more than 30 days (Start date and End date) > click Refresh
- Enter any known information such as the Trans Batch ID, Document number or Amount
- Click Search
- View the transaction detail in the results for details such as the unit number where it posted.
Payments that failed or declined are found in the Errors link listed in Transaction Types
Method 2: View Imported Transactions
Remember ‐ Payments that could not post due to setting errors or restrictions will be listed in
View Imported Transactions
- Go to the Navigation Menu (3 bars) > Administration > RealPage Exchange
- Under Transaction Research, click View imported transactions
- Fill out fields > Build list
Note: The status column in the list of transactions should indicate Complete. For other status
such as Error or Requeued, handling may vary. Requeued status may mean that your site is
locked for AME and, if not, there is a button to click to Post In‐Process transactions. Error
status may indicate a restriction on the ledger such as “Do not allow check payment” or a
transaction code or G/L code setup error. Hover over the error for details.
Method 3: Search the Miscellaneous Income Ledger
Remember ‐ If an application fee or deposit payment was processed for a Prospect prior to a
unit being assigned, it will post in Miscellaneous Income
- Go to the Navigation Menu (3 bars) > Administration > Leasing and Rents, click Other
- Click Miscellaneous income ledgers
- Locate the Online application fees ledger and click Show transactions
- Search the ledger for fees or select Deposits in the Ledger Type drop‐down for deposits
- Hover over the Description field for the full description that will include the prospect’s name
Note: If there is a unit ledger, the payment can be moved: View the payment > click Edit >
Change Account > Find and Select the appropriate Name or Unit > Post
Method 4: Look through Accounting View in the Ledger
Remember ‐ If a payment posted and was then removed, it can be seen in the Accounting View
of the ledger
- From the resident or deposit ledger check Accounting view
- Look in the reversed transactions and view the Transaction Details for the reason it was reversed
Method 5: Check the Deposit Ledger
- Go to the Navigation Menu (3 bars) > Residents
- Locate the household and click View next to their name
- Go to the Ledger tab and change the selection in the Ledger drop‐down list
from Resident to Deposit
Method 6: Use the Bank Deposit Details Report
Remember – All payments posted in a particular fiscal period, including manual payments taken
to the bank, will be listed on your Bank Deposit Details report and will include the name/unit
where it was posted
- Go to the Navigation Menu (3 bars) > Reports, SDE and Tasks tab > All reports
- Next to Bank Deposit Details, click Generate
- Select the Fiscal Year and Period if you need a period other than the default current period
- Select a bank deposit control number of All to list all the payments included in that period
- Click Generate
- Use the Ctrl + F function to search any known information about the payment such as amount or document number
